S.A.J Fruit Supply Pty Ltd was established in 1961 by Robert and Roberta Lee as a fully family owned and operated company. In December 2001, it acquired the highly regarded processed fruit and vegetable company, Catercare. This now makes the S.A.J Fruit Supply – Catercare Group one of Australia’s leading suppliers of both fresh and processed fruit and vegetables.

Over the past few years we have successfully negotiated provision to major hospital groups, contract caterers, leisure venues and many public and private institutions.

Our company operates from a new purpose built facility at 30 Kyabram Street, Coolaroo. Our modern, spacious premises are temperature controlled and monitored using the latest technology. For the productive benefit of our clients and us, we also operate a facility at the Melbourne Markets in Footscray.

As a result we are able to offer our customers the kind of speedy distribution and fresh produce you would expect from the industry leader. The S.A.J Fruit Supply – Catercare Group provides daily delivery on weekdays to all of metropolitan Melbourne as well as offering a weekend service when required.

Our company currently employs over 50 full and part-time employees. Each and every member of our business has a vested interest in the satisfaction of our clients.

Through our Australia wide and International network or growers and suppliers, we are able to source seasonal specific products all year round. We endeavour to source Australian grown products, where price, quality and delivery meet our clients needs, as our first priority. We are also able to source international product to meet out-of-season or under supply products ordered by our clients. S.A.J always takes the clients needs as the deciding factor in our purchasing network which is underpinned by our values of best product, of the highest quality, at the right price.
